Customer Review: Does not keep drink hot

Cons: I purchased this mug to keep my coffee hot, and believed "thermal" meant just that. Well, it didn't. No matter how hot the coffee is when I put it in the mug, it cools off very quickly. I even tried pre-heating the cup with hot water, but it didn't make a difference. Even after searching other sites, including Bodum's, I have not been able to find out if it is safe for the microwave, and no information about this was on the box it came in.
Pros: The spill-proof feature is good and even if turned upside-down not a drop spills out. The design is good, easy to hold, not slippery even with gloves on. It is easy to wash and so far, does not stain. You can drink from any side of the top.
Overall, I just wish it kept the drink hot. I could have bought a mug at the dollar store that would, instead of wasting $9.99 on this one.
