It features Bodum's patented new locking lid system to both help keep your coffee hot as well as prevent spills. The locking lid gives you total control over the flow of coffee; just press the lever situated above the handle to release liquid. When released, the lid automatically closes, locking in heat, freshness, and flavor. Perfect for extracting your coffee's aromatic oils and subtle flavors, this 8-cup coffee press can hold up to 34-ounce. The ultra-light, heat-resistant borosilicate glass beaker is encased in colorful plastic, which adds style to your kaffeeklatch as well as adds protection to the glass. It's complemented by a 3-part stainless steel plunger with a fine mesh filter; allowing the flavor of the coffee to be delivered direct to your cup and not absorbed by a paper filter. All parts are dishwasher safe. To make the perfect pot of French press coffee, add 1 rounded tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee for each 4-ounce cup of water.
