Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bodum Bistro Double-Wall Insulated 10-Ounce Glass Mug, Set of 2

Customer Review: Great for hot liquids on wood furniture
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these for one simple reason: to be able to set my coffee cup down on my wood nightstand in the morning without damaging the finish on the nightstand. They satisfy this purpose 100%. As for keeping the coffee warm, they don't have a lid so of course heat is going to escape. However, based on about 6 months of using these, I finish my coffee before it looses enough heat to make a difference.

Conclusion: If you're looking for an upscale coffee cup that you can sit on fine furniture without fear of damaging it, these are great. I would definitely buy them again.

Customer Review: Pleased

I've now had my glass mugs three weeks. I was surprised how light they are. I do hand wash and dry them after each use. I am completely satisfied but handle them carefully. They do help keep the hot drinks hot but are not too hot to keep in your hand no matter how hot the drink.

Customer Review: As Expected. Looks great! Light.
Summary: 5 Stars

Love the looks of this mug! Wish it was 12oz, but 10oz isn't bad. Fits the standard Keurig size perfectly. If you add cream (like I do), the mug will be full. (see picture I uploaded of Caribou Colombia coffee in the cup, no cream)

Glass is probably fragile, but I haven't broken one yet, as I'm careful. Lighter than you'd think. Outside doesn't get hot. About as described. I wash them in the dishwasher and have had no problems.

I also got the ones without handles. Both look fantastic!

Customer Review: I am a klutz...
Summary: 5 Stars

and I still have 1 of the cups I bought 2+ years ago. The TSA managed the break the other one last October on my return from vacation. These have been around the world in my checked baggage, twice, so the reports of them being fragile are a mystery to me. My cups have Bodum in clear letters on a white rectangle, with a 3 in a circle in white letters. Perhaps they are different mugs?

I roast my own coffee, and use the remaining cup daily for my coffee. I got on to order 2 more when I read the reviews. I felt I had to say something lest others think these are extremely fragile. I have knocked them over into the sink, on the counter, knocked them against frying pans, and knocked them again other glasses and things in the dishwasher, so I would say they are not fragile at all. Of course, as with all glassware, your mileage may vary. :)

Customer Review: Broken Cups
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased these cup for a Christmas present and was satisfied with the delivery time. However, I talked with the receipent of the gift only to find that not one but both cups had cracked and broken. They were used in accordance with instructions and apparently just cracked from the heat. It is hard to believe that they only survived use for about four (4) weeks.
