Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bodum Chambord 12-Ounce Coffee PressCustomer Review: 3 (very-tiny, but very good) cup coffee press Summary: 3 StarsThe Bodum 3-cup coffee press makes great coffee! But really it makes one good 10-12 oz. cup at a time.
Customer Review: Very bad quality especially for Bodum Summary: 1 StarsWith all the good reviews on this coffee press, I expected a reasonably good product especially since this item is not that cheap. So imagine my surprise when 3 out of the 4 coffee presses that I bought had unacceptable defects: 1 with a large crack, and the other two with very noticeable scuff marks on the glass.
The boxes looked very pristine (ie. unopened previously) and there was no sign of transportation damage, and amazon does a pretty good packing job, so it's Bodum. Or more precisely, it's "Made in China" so caveat emptor. Save your time and skip this one.
Customer Review: European 3 cups Summary: 5 StarsThis is pretty easy to use and clean. We bought whole coffee beans and ground them up ourselves (to obtain the coarse grounds needed for the press).
This 3-cup coffee press produces 3 shots of espresso, the kind you get in the little cups at a yuppie coffee place.
Because you use 3 scoops of coffee grounds and about 12 ounces of hot water, the end product is pretty powerful.
This is the perfect size coffee press for two people.
The actual apparatus is also very easy to clean. Coffee grounds slides off from the insides with only the use of tap water.
Oh, and we didn't have any trouble with squirting of dangerous hot liquids in faces. :)
Customer Review: Always read the reviews Summary: 4 StarsA beautiful little piece of art for the kitchen. I wish I had read the reviews instead of thinking a three cup press would make 3 cups of coffee.
Live and learn. I will obviously be making twice as many batches thanks to the problem with translating 3 cups to mean 24 ounces instead of 12 ounces.
Customer Review: Broken on delivery Summary: 2 StarsOne of four arrived broken. The reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 star is that so far the other three appear OK, but I wonder if the material will stand the test of time (or hot water).
