Customer Review: Broke with boiling water in it!

Had it for 2 weeks. Loved it. Until yesterday morning I lifted it as it was boiling... the bottom just fell off-- with all the boiling water spilling on my legs! I had to take the day off from work, run around going to the doctor's for 2nd degree burns and then to the pharmacy for special ointment for my wound! I am very upset with this manufacturer for creating such false advertisement!
Description of Bodum Clara 59-Ounce Glass Stovetop Whistling Water Kettle
It is clear as crystal - the Clara Water Kettle is made for those who appreciate transparency as much as design! The body and the handle come in heat-resistant see-through borosilicate glass. The use of borosilicate glass testifies to BODUM's sensitivity to people's need for natural and non-reactive materials, which are smell and taste free and do not taint water. The Clara Water Kettle is light in weight and has a capacity of 1.75L (59 oz). The whistling feature, when water reaches its boiling point, adds to its convenient handling. The blue color used in the plastic grip and silicone gasket of the stainless-steel cap and the spout whistle intensifies the impression of the water cleanliness during the boiling process. It can be used with electric, ceramic or gas stoves (not induction) - before putting it in the microwave, lid and whistle need to be removed. All parts are dishwasher safe.Kettles made of some metals can leave an unpleasant taste in the water, and sometimes even rust particles. The Clara kettle from Bodum eliminates that reactive process, resulting in a purer water quality and better tasting tea. Bodum makes the kettle completely of heat-resistant borosilicate glass, with a stainless steel lid. A fresh glacier blue colors the lid knob, plastic whistling device, and silicone gasket in the lid to impart a pristine feel. The kettle is clear (except for warnings about hot water in the proximity of children printed on the sides), and may be used to boil up to 59 ounces of water on a gas, electric, or ceramic stove, but not an induction burner.
