Customer Review: Great Coffee Maker, but "8 Cups"? Not even close!

This is a fine French Press coffee maker. It is easy to use and makes a very quick and very good cup of coffee! Its steel construction means that it won't shatter if you drop it, and its insulation will keep the coffee warm for a good long while.
My only complaint is that its advertising claims that it will make "8 cups" of coffee. That simply is not true! Perhaps if you consider a 4 oz. demitasse to be "a cup", then maybe... But for all my life a "cup" has been a half pint, and so that's what I expect. So the reality is, expect to get around three American sized cups. (More than that, and you're into the dregs.)
Bottom line: A great coffee maker. Too bad they have to be deceptive in describing it.
