Customer Review: An excellent mug for tea fanatics!

I am an avid tea drinker and own several travel bewing mugs/bottles for loose tea. And by "several", I mean "one of just about every type currently on the market and several that went out of business". The Bodum is quickly becoming my favourite travel mug.
PROS:
Double-walled sides for insulation to keep hot or cold press tea at temperature longer than a single-wall travel mug.
Silicone sleeve adds an extra insulation layer between mug and hand to prevent burns and adds texture for better grip. My main complaint with my other favourite tea travel buddy is that it's single-wall and burns the heck out of my hand while steeping. The Bodum doesn't.
Mesh screen of the press is fine enough that raw leaf, chopped leaf, and "tea dust" can be filtered out with little to no problem. I tested it with several grades of Rooibos and various grades of broken, fanning, and dust grade tea and tisanes and it works a treat. The only thing that has escaped the mesh has been a few bits of chamomile when I used crushed bud instead of full bud.
Silicon seal around the mesh filter is excellent and prevents tea/coffee bits from escaping into the drinking portion of the beverage.
Holds a good amount of beverage.
Locking flap over mouthpiece to help with spill/splash control and to help keep temperature stable.
Locking flap snaps to the rim when open so it doesn't fall on your nose when you drink.
Fits in average car and bike drink holders.
Spare lid is not fitted for filter plunger, so you can use it as just a regular travel mug by swapping tops.
Plastic did not crack or "frost" when boiling water was poured in. I'm normally very dubious of plastic travel mugs, especially double walled kind with a vacuum of air. Generally, I prefer glass when I can buy it. However, this mug has not cracked or frosted and I've used everything from 120F water to 212F and higher boiling water.
CONS:
The "spill resistant lid" is not leakproof in the slightest. If you tip it, it will leak badly around the mouthpiece hinge and the press stem. For me, this means I can't take it on my bike because if I put it in the bottle holder, the angle it is at would make it leak all over any time I hit a bump. I really wish Bodum would fix this and make the lid truly leakproof.
Press does not go all the way down - it is about 1.5" from the bottom, and the filter on the press is so fine that the liquid doesn't really escape while drinking and the inability to turn the mug upside down due to the leaky hinge on the lid means there's really no way to get at it. I wish the press went down farther. It's more wasteful than it ought to be. Plus, if the plunger went down further, it would keep the drink from overbrewing and becoming bitter since the water would not be able to steep the drink.
The claim of "keeps beverages hot for hours" is incorrect for average use. You get about 45 minutes of piping hot, and then it cools. This may be different if you leave it closed and aren't drinking it - I can see where it might work as a thermos in that instance but due to the lack of airtight lid remain skeptical on that score - but if you open the mouthpiece to sip at it and close it between sips, you get about an hour of hot beverage, not "hours".
For my "druthers", I wish Bodum made this exact item in borosilicate glass instead of plastic.
All in all, it's an excellent product. If you're a loose leaf tea connoisseur, this is a decent travel brewing mug. It is more expensive than, for instance, the Travel Buddy or Copco mugs, but it is also useful with more grades of loose leaf teas/tisanes thanks to the finer filter mesh.
